There are major refurbishments currently ongoing at Ebbw Vale Institute.

We are having the hall fully refitted with a brand new bar, stage, PA system and lights.

There will also be a brand new cafe area and a professional-standard recording studio with an internationally recognised producer.

We are looking at a grand re-opening event in early April and the next live music event is scheduled for 19 April when we proudly present the magnificent Amy Wadge and Pete Riley in support of their new album.

The Cultural Café will also feature acoustic acts on a regular basis to compliment your evening.

But it’s not all music though, we regularly have political and alternative speakers and on 4 May we will have a course in Shamanic Journeying. There are also a number of courses run through Coleg Gwent and UHOVI.

All suggestions for future events welcome and we look forward to welcoming all visitors old and new to this exciting regeneration of one of Ebbw Vale’s most iconic buildings.
