Training updates

by promocymru_admin | 13th Oct 2011

Through the summer we piloted 115 ACNs in both how to use CLIC and how to create content for CLIConline.

Youth workers and young people were trained in youth work principles as well as how to navigate and use the CLIConline site. We also have a variety of ACNs supporting young people to upload content to CLIC.

These include creative writing, poetry, photo diaries and video stories. We are also developing further creative ACNs in Radio Broadcasting and Interview Techniques. These are available to view on the ProMo-Cymru website in the resources tab.

We are now rolling out this training across Wales in both Welsh and English. We provide trainers, workbooks and equipment. Please contact Rachel Burton if you would like to arrange for us to come to you to deliver this training.

Later this month, the CLIConline PSE lessons will be launched and disseminated to all schools in Wales. These are a bilingual resource of five key stage 3 and 5 key stage 4 lessons, available to all schools. They can also be viewed on the ProMo-Cymru website under the resources tab.

We have also developed a Social Media Training programme. This supports organisations to gain an understanding of social media by giving an overview of the main social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

We will also look at guidelines for working with young people with social media. It is a full day course and costs £160.

Please contact Rachel Burton, Training Officer, at rachel@cliconline.co.uk if you would like to find out more.
