ProMo-Cymru is working with Safer Capital, Cardiff’s Community Safety Partnership (CSP), on two projects.

The first is to develop a substance misuse website for under 18s in Cardiff. It will be a place where young people can go to access information about substance misuse and find out where they can get help.

As with all of our projects, the young people are at the heart of this development and over 60 have been consulted so far on the name, content and design of the site.

This is an exciting project which aims to equip young people in Cardiff with the information that they need to make informed decisions on substance misuse.

The second project that ProMo-Cymru is working with Safer Capital on along with Grassroots Cardiff, is to develop a campaign to warn young people about the risks of alcohol-fuelled violent crime.

The campaign, called ‘It Only Takes One’ will warn and educate young people about the potential consequences of their actions.

One of the key messages is that just one mistake on a night out could leave to a lifetime of dealing with the consequences.

The campaign is made up of some presentations and workshops as well as a poster and media campaign.
