ProMo-Cymru is delighted to announce that the transfer of the Ebbw Vale Institute from Blaenau Gwent Borough Council to community ownership via ProMo-Cymru was officially completed on Thursday 31st May 2012.

Supported by a major grant from Community Asset Transfer Programme, which is a partnership between the Welsh Government and The Big Lottery Fund, ProMo can now undertake further development and refurbishment at EVI to achieve a sustainable cultural centre of community activity and learning.

ProMo is grateful for the support provided by Blaenau Gwent Borough Council and The Big Lottery Fund which made the transfer of ownership possible.

The next phase of work is set to begin in the summer of 2012.
