Merthyr band Pretty Vicious has caught the attention of major record labels with their first demo recorded at Ebbw Vale Institute (EVi) with acclaimed producer, Richard Jackson.

The teenagers, Brad Griffiths (17), Thomas McCarthy (17), Jarvis Morgan (17) and Elliot Jones (16), posted their track – Cave Song – on social media, which was picked up by a host of radio stations including Radio Wales, Nation Radio, XFM and Radio 1.

Staff at EVi supported the band in promoting the song through social media and other websites.

Since then, the young band which formed only six months ago has already triggered the interest of record companies, even though they haven’t yet played a gig.

Pretty Vicious’ debut show will held at the The Red House in Merthyr Tydfil on 13 December.
