Its a brand new year and there are a number of exciting developments taking place within ProMo-Cymru. Following on from our successful recruitment drive at the end of last year a number of new staff will be joining our team over the next month or so.  We’ll be introducing them here on our website with a little bit about their new role within the organisation as they take up their appointments.

At the end of this month we’ll also be carrying out another CLIC residential, this time in Carmarthenshire, bringing together young people from across Wales.

We’ll be working together to review the way in which information is categorised within CLIC and continue reviewing and rewriting some of the content, and of course……having some fun along the way!

If you are an Information Worker and would like to help us to develop CLIC as an information resource for young people in Wales, we are carrying out a wider piece of work to assess whether we need to re-categorise the information included in our index.   Offering a workshop resource that you can deliver with your young people, we will be collating all of the feedback to decide how young people would like to access the information.  If you and your group would like to become involved then please contact kath@promo-cymru.org.

We’ll also be launching the new telephone and instant messaging service for young people seeking information, advice and advocacy support, working with a range of partners and organisations. Consultations with young people and parents are underway to determine how we get the message across that this vital and important service will now be available.

As developments happen, we’ll keep you updated, but in the meantime please visit www.cliconline.co.uk, register and provide us with your feedback on the website.
