The second edition of the Gstaad International Film Festival for Films by Artists will be in the mountain town of Gstaad in Switzerland from September 15th to 17th. The first prize is 3,000 Swiss Francs. This is a festival for international, contemporary short-films created by people who come from an arts-based background.
There is no prescriptive theme and submissions will only be accepted in visual format of mini-DV cassettes and DVD. Any visual material submitted should run for no longer than 10 minutes. Animated cartoons are not acceptable for submission. All works have to be submitted with a short biography of the artist and a synopsis of previous works and exhibitions.
The five authors of the nominated films will be invited to Gstaad for the presentation of their work by GstaadFilm, accommodation will be provided.
