CLIC I-Spect Scheme

by promocymru_admin | 17th Sep 2012

Following the launch of the National Standards & Quality Assurance Framework for Youth Information Providers in Wales, CLIC has supported two local authorities to carry out assessments of their youth information provision.

This involved the local youth information provider complete a self assessment of its information provision against the quality standards for youth information. If they were satisfied with the standard of their service, they invited the youth information inspector team, I-Spect, in to verify their findings.

This summer, nine young people underwent CLIC I-Spect training and then carried out assessments on local youth information providers in Newport and Bridgend.

Both services were found to have outstanding youth information provision and have been recommended by the I-Spect teams to receive the quality mark for youth information provision from CLIC, on behalf of the Welsh Government.  If you would like to know more about I-Spect, please contact CLIConline’s Training & Accreditation Officer Rachel Burton, at rachel@clicononline.co.uk or on 029 2046 2222.
