by promocymru_admin | 26th Mar 2012

European Youth Information Day will be celebrated across Europe on Tuesday 17th April for the fifth year running.

ERYICA (European Youth Information & Counselling Agency) will be working together with youth information workers across Europe to promote their organisations, services and their work with young people through a variety of activities.

As a member of ERYICA, CLIC, the national information and advice service for 11-25 year olds in Wales, is planning to hold an event entitled CLIC: Information Right Now on Tuesday 17th April to coincide with the celebrations across Europe.

It will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Awen Foyer of the Welsh Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. The guest-of-honour will be Mr Jeff Cuthbert, Deputy Minister for Skills.

At the event, CLIC will be signing the European Youth Information Charter. CLIC will also relaunch the CLIC Info Section, which has been reviewed and rewritten in consultation with professional organisations and young people.

The recently developed National Information & Quality Assurance Framework developed on behalf of the Welsh Government will also be formally introduced.

The event will be entertaining as well as educational, with performances by young Welsh acts, creative workshops, information sessions and a range of other activities.
