Youth Information Workers Cymru

Following the delivery of the Information Workers Conference in November 2009, the Youth Information Workers Cymru (YIWC) meetings will now be coordinated by ProMo-Cymru with the newly appointed Information and Quality Standards Officer arranging and facilitating meetings.

The first such meeting took place on 12th April 2010 with the Information workers consulted to establish developmental needs and key priorities. These were identified as:

  • Reviewing and monitoring processes for Information and distribution of information;
  • Accreditation and training developments for staff and young people
  • Communication strategy
  • Quality markers and assessment framework
  • Links to the Family Information Services

The group will also be planning the next Information Conference for November 2010.
