Ebbw Vale Institute, the oldest institute in Wales, hosted the Renewable Energy for Community Assets and Enterprises Conference on Monday 4 July.

The seminar focused on learning from and sharing practical knowledge and skills with development trusts and other social and community enterprises from Scotland on the potential of ‘natural assets‘, particularly in the form of renewable energy sources.

On Friday 29 July, EVi hosted one of the regional heats for this year’s much anticipated CLIC Battle of the Bands.

This year, the Wales-wide CLIC Battle Of The Bands competition is in conjunction with Merthyr Rock, the new music festival featuring The Blackout and Ocean Colour Scene which takes place on Sat 3 and Sun 4 September in Cyfartha Park, Merthyr Tydfil.

Tuesdays: Yoga (from 7.00 pm)

Thursday: Tai Chi (7.00 -8.30pm)

Saturdays: Streetdance open and team classes (10.00am – 1.00pm)
