James began his journey with EVI in 2016 through the Bridges into Work 2 programme, after facing multiple barriers to employment and lacking previous work experience. With support and training, he built his confidence and developed new skills through volunteering. After three years as a volunteer caretaker, James became a paid member of staff and has continued to grow in his role. Now EVI’s trusted key holder, James plays a vital part in the day-to-day running of the centre. Friendly, reliable, and always willing to help, he is a well-respected and much-valued member of the team.
